I want Mae to be my forever friend. I’ll do anything to make sure she will never leave me. While she’s sleeping, I decorate her in a burlap dress I made a few nights ago when I was dreaming of this moment, and then I cut her open. I rip out her stomach, her lungs, heart, everything! I tie her thick, brown hair up in a bow. I slice her mouth to always smile at me, but then decide to sew it shut so she won’t be able to yell at me when she wakes up. The old pillows I have that have been falling apart will be perfect for stuffing her. Forcefully, I rip off her arms and legs to really get it in there. The stuffing starts absorbing a lot of blood. I’m not done stitching her up when I realize her eyes look creepy. Staring blankly at me. I know, I’ll sew buttons on them! She’s bleeding a lot, but red is our favourite colour. We’re best friends.
